1.5 Years Experience This was an interview for a marketing position, but almost always requires an engineering background (I have an Electrical Engineering degree) so you can understand the chips that you're selling. I had experience in a very similar role in another semiconductor company. I was very pleased with the atmosphere and the people I talked to at Altera. They all seemed very smart and driven, but had laid back personalities which made me feel like it would be a good place to work. There were a lot of good opportunities in their technical marketing departments as well.
