I flew out to Cali to interview with Cypress for a Product Marketing Engineer position. I'm an electrical engineer and was intrigued by the position as it branched out a little bit from most of the other opportunities I had and it seemed to provide a pathway to a more business-oriented career. The position is difficult to understand at first but requires somebody with an engineering background to understand how the chips work, but a desire to go out and market products, find new business opportunities and work with the sales force to make a product line successful.
